We are sad to announce that Dr Almas Rehman will be leaving the Portland Medical Centre on the 5 th February. Although sad for us, it is a new adventure for Dr Rehman who has recently married and is looking forward to a new chapter of her life with her husband in Scotland.

Almas is a Croydon girl, born and educated in Thornton Heath. She qualified as a Doctor at the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London in 2002 and did most of her clinical training at Croydon University Hospital. She completed her GP Training at Norbury Health Centre before joining us at Portland Medical Centre in 2007. She became a Partner here in the Summer of 2011 and has been a major influence in developing the services here at Portland and across our local network of Practices. Almas has been influential in the training and development of new GPs in Croydon. Not only has she been a GP Trainer overseeing Registrars in the practice, she was also a Programme Director for the Croydon GP Vocational Training Scheme, supporting many of Croydon’s GP Trainees to become the future generation of General Practitioners. She has also been a tutor for medical students at Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ medical school.

Her easy manner, natural empathy and supportive nature have made her a favourite among patients and staff alike.

We know that she will be greatly missed by all who have known her and we wish her lots of luck and happiness in her new life and are grateful to have shared many happy memories.

If you would like to express your thanks to Dr Almas Rehman please follow this link http://www.tolbc.com/DrAlmasRehman to register your messages or  feel free to write to her at the practice.

Thank you.
