How do I get a blood test?
Blood tests are requested by the clinicians for patients already on medications or with certain chronic conditions. We will contact patients when blood tests are needed.
If a clinician feels that you need a blood test this will be ordered in a consultation.
Phlebotomy Service
If a clinician has requested a blood test you can book in at the surgery to see the phlebotomist. This will need to be done via reception.
The easiest way to do this is chat to us on our website via the LiveChat bot function.
If you need the blood test urgently you can also have this done at the hospital (Croydon University Hospital or Purely War Memorial Hospital).
Please consider if you need to fast for a blood test e.g. cholesterol or lipids, if so, take nothing but water and mediciation for 12 hours prior to the test.
